What’s it like to wake up in a mysterious world of magic and monsters?

It’s not easy.

For Jason, making the career jump from office-supplies-store middle manager to heroic interdimensional adventurer is surreal. Jason tries to be heroic, but it's hard to be good when all your powers are evil.

He’ll face off against cannibals, cultists, wizards, monsters...and that’s just on the first day. He’s going to need courage, he’s going to need wit, and he’s going to need some magic powers of his own. But first, he’s going to need pants.

"Exciting, hilarious, irreverent, and action-packed."Matt Dinniman (New York Times bestselling author of Dungeon Crawler Carl)

Hardcover books 1-5 release timing

Here are the book release dates. International editions in Commonwealth countries (including Australia, yay) should match up with this timing.

  • Book 1 in July 2026

  • Book 2 in September 2026

  • Book 3 in October 2026

  • Book 4 in February 2027

  • Book 5 in April 2027

G'day all,

I've now been cleared by the publisher to show off the covers for book s 4 & 5 (see all covers below). I'm especially a fan of the book 6 cover, which shows Jason... in a scene that I suddenly realise would be a spoiler. More than there being a bus on there. Probably not a spoiler for most of the people here, but for readers who joined with the hardcovers it could be.

That makes it a little hard to talk about, but I'm very excited to get them in my hands. I have a few physical copies of book one in the various editions, standard, international, Target exclusive, and Indigo. They each have their own little variances, but I couldn't be happier with how they turned out.

As far as I have been informed, the releases in Commonwealth countries should be day and date with the North America releases. I don't have an exact list of countries, but I do know that several foreign language editions are in the works. I can't make any announcements about that yet, as various deals and details are still being finalised.
